On Monday evening, eleven talented Year 7s took part in the Newcomers Concert in the Music department. This was the first time that they had performed a solo at Weald of Kent Grammar School, and they coped brilliantly with the pressure! There were lots of accomplished pianists alongside fantastic singers and a saxophonist.
The Music department hopes that this experience will encourage these Year 7 students to participate as soloists in other performances this year and throughout their time at Weald. We are excited to watch their musical development over the coming years! The students who took part are Imogen-Skye (piano), Alice (piano), Izzy (saxophone), Olivia (piano), Maddie (piano), Elicia (piano), Ishita (piano), Nell (piano), Lauren (piano), Maria (piano) and Kirsty (piano).
