Gold Medal and Outstanding Achiever Award in Athletics
At the weekend, Kent School Athletics was a fantastic spectacle with young athletes competing for their schools and county.
Maya in year 9 representing Weald of Kent Grammar School (under the banner of Tonbridge schools) set a new personal best in the 100m final. Motivated by her strong performance earlier in the day, she went on to win the 1st place Gold medal in Junior Girls 300m.
In recognition for her successes on the track so far this season, she has also been awarded the Jack Petchey Outstanding Achiever Award. Congratulations Maya!
