Darcy hits the slopes for first English Championship

The best young skiers in Britain came together to compete in the 24th English Alpine Championship.

Taking place in Bormio, Italy, competitors met in three disciplines: super giant, giant slalom and slalom. Among them was Year 9's Darcy.

The event covered every age range from under 10’s to the Fis racers (who are the over 17’s and compete in world cup races). Darcy was up against seasoned skiers, including current GB team members.

Darcy did well in the three disciplines, beating several more-experienced competitors and climbing the rankings.

She is now looking forward to the season finale of the British Championships in Tignes, France, at Easter.

Good luck Darcy!
