The Weald of Kent Enrichment & Development Fund
As a school, we aspire to provide the best possible education for our students; one that supports and develops independent and inquisitive students, who enjoy learning, achieve, belong and are exceptionally well-prepared for life. The Weald School fund plays a vital role in enabling us to meet these goals.
Funding for schools from the government has been under pressure for a number of years now. As a result, more and more schools are now looking for additional sources of income. The reality is that we are not a wealthy school, and we now need to look to the generosity of parents/carers, alumni and the wider community in order to help continue to develop our educational offer and one that rivals the very best state-funded schools.
The Weald School fund will be used in a variety of ways to
- Support and grow our extracurricular offering, school activities and academic enrichment
- Enhance our school facilities
We are extremely grateful to parents for donating to this fund. All donations will make a real difference to our students’ educational experience.
How to donate
All contributions are voluntary, but as a guide we are suggesting a monthly donation of £30.
Parents/ Carers wishing to set up regular giving or make a one-off donation can do so in several ways:
- Online: Click the link to be taken to the CAF donation page. From here you can either choose to make a one-off donation or set up a regular direct debit.
- Via Standing Order: You may set up a Standing Order with your bank either directly via your Online banking/App, or you can fill in the Standing Order Form and Gift Aid Form, returning both originals to the School Finance Office. We will forward the form to your bank on your behalf.
- Via Parentpay: Parents/Carers can log into their Parentpay account HERE and select ‘The Weald of Kent Enrichment & Development Fund’.
Gift Aid enables the school to benefit by a further 25% (from the UK Government) of voluntary donations given, so do please remember to tick the Gift Aid box if you are an eligible UK taxpayer. For more information about gift aid and tax efficient ways of giving, please visit: www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/gift-aid.htm
It is important that parents/carers understand that there is no obligation to make donations and we understand that families may also be facing financial challenges. Any amount is welcome and no student will be treated differently should their family choose not to contribute.
