The Economics Curriculum at Weald is about studying the world around us from a social, financial and cultural perspective. The subject looks at all the different factors that affect wealth and well-being. Economics is the study of how societies use scarce resources to produce valuable commodities and distribute them among different people. It covers a variety of topics, including production, efficiency, macroeconomic policy, international economy, and market failure. Economics allows students to develop their logic and critical thinking skills as well as prepare students for adult life and all of the challenges that come with becoming financially independent.
