Fencing is a new addition to our extra-curricular programme this year. Students have been thoroughly enjoying the experience and an additional session has been set up at Tonbridge due to its popularity.

The sessions are run by an external company, Elite Sabre Coaching Limited and each course runs for 10 weeks.  We are pleased to confirm there will be another opportunity to book for the next course later in the year. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Fencing is often perceived as a niche pass-time, but it is one of only five sports to have featured in all modern Olympic Games since 1896. Essentially, fencing involves trying to score points by hitting your opponent with a ‘sword’. There are three different types of modern fencing: épée, sabre and foil.
